Julia Jones, 82, of Inn View Drive in Inman, went home to be with her Lord Jesus, Wednesday, June 15th, at White Oak at North Grove.

Judy was born in Spartanburg on April 17, 1940, a daughter of the late Maude Pack Shelton and James Cecil Shelton. She was the widow of the love of her life, Donald M Jones. Judy was a 1958 graduate of Chapman High School and retired from Bellsouth Telephone Company after 31 years of service. She was a member of Inman First Free Will Baptist Church, American Legion Auxiliary Post 45 since 1975, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, and Telephone Pioneers.

She is survived by a brother, James T. "Jim" Shelton of Spartanburg, two sisters-in-law, Polly Jones of Moore and Marcelle Jones of Campobello, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by two sisters, Lois Shelton Collins and Helen Shelton Bradley and a brother, Glen Shelton.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 18th at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman conducted by Rev. Sean Fortner. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends following the funeral at the funeral home.

Private burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Inman First Free Will Baptist Church, 90 Blackstock Rd, Inman, SC 29349.
