Judy Carol Gray, 78, of Campobello, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at her residence.
Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on May 2, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Mary Doris (Chapman) and Raymond West and was the wife of the late Richard Lesley Gray.
Judy retired from the Spartanburg County Sheriffs Department after 30 years of dedicated service. She was the first female Master Deputy and received the "Officer of the Year" award.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Miller and his wife Belinda of Inman, South Carolina and Dwayne Miller of Lyman, South Carolina; one daughter, Melissa Pellerin and her husband William of Lyman, South Carolina; two brothers, Boyd West and his wife Martha of Boiling Springs, South Carolina and Russell West of Campobello; sister, Linda Burch of Anderson, South Carolina and sister-in-law, Brenda West of Inman, South Carolina and seven great grandchildren, Nathan and Brittany Branch, Tamara Branch, Monica Hyde, Jonathan Hyde, Mikey Miller, Lexie Davis and Hailey Ray Miller and many great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also predeceased by one daughter, Melinda Brown; one brother, Lamar West and two grandsons, Brandon Branch and Taylor Miller.
A Celebration of her life service will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 3:00 PM with Dr. Todd Johnson and Dr. Reggie Parker officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
