Juanita Yvonne Hammett

Juanita Yvonne Pulley Hammett, 91, of 92 East Main Street, Inman, SC, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg.

Juanita was born in Martin's Crossroads, SC on September 16, 1930, a daughter of the late Juanita (Bobo) Pulley and George Pulley and was the widow of Ted Bishop Hammett.

She was a member of Inman First Baptist Church where she was a member of the church choir, a volunteer at the Gibb's Cancer Center and was a former Miss Spartanburg. She attended Spartanburg Junior College, Winthrop College and Converse College.

Juanita is  survived by two daughters, Caroline Ramantanin and husband Petro, of Inman, SC; Teresa Dupree, of Columbia, SC, a son, Ted B Hammett, II and wife Jayne, of Lexington, SC; a sister, Evelyn Bell, of Laurens, SC, a sister in law, Barbara Hammett of Spartanburg, SC, 8 grandchildren, Dr. Bennett Hammett, Leanna Dupree, Rebecca Dupree Matricciano (Mick), Marlys Dupree Windham (Dylan), McClain Dupree, Georgia Dupree, Thomas Ramantanin (Melissa), Caroline Ramantanin Burnett (Eric), 4 great grandchildren, Allyson Jane Hammett, Caroline Paige Hammett, Cecilia Matricciano and Charlotte Ramantanin.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, July 5th at Inman First Baptist Church Atrium in Inman, SC 

Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, July 5th in the church sanctuary with Dr. Paul Moore officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Inman First Baptist Church,14 N Howard St., Inman, SC 29349 or Halcyon Hospice, 775 Spartan Blvd Drive, Suite 100, Spartanburg, SC 29301. 

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses, staff and volunteers at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for their loving care for Mrs. Hammett.
