Juanita Kilmer Blackwell, 89, of 3626 Junior Place Shreveport, LA, passed away Friday, April 17th, at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum, SC.
Juanita was born in Shreveport, LA on December 24, 1930, a daughter of the late Ona Lee Ault Kilmer and Floyd Kilmer and was the widow of Glenn F Blackwell.
Juanita received her degree from Louisiana College and retired from Eden Gardens Elementary School in Shreveport where she had worked as the school secretary. She was also a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she had been active in the church choir.
She is survived by a daughter; Laura B. Green and her husband David of Inman, SC, two sons; Jeff Blackwell of Bossier City, LA, Brent Blackwell and his wife Vicki of Bossier City, LA, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
All services will be held in Shreveport and will be announced. Burial will be in Forest Park-West in Shreveport, LA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gladstone Community Church 856 Gladstone Blvd. Shreveport, LA 71119.
