Joseph Clarence Yancey

Joseph Clarence Yancey, III, 59, of 421 Richwood Drive Wellford, passed away Sunday, January 25th, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Valdese, N.C. on April 11, 1955, a son of Joe Clarence Yancey of Drexall, N.C. and the late Mary Elizabeth Smith Yancey Davis and was the husband of Judy Robinson Yancey.
He retired from truck driving and from North Carolina Army National Guard after 22 years of service.
Other survivors include three sons; Joseph Clarence Yancey IV, John Franklin Yancey, James Patrick Yancey; a step daughter; Chelsey Eagen, step son; Jason Brackins, five brothers; Jessie, Johnny, Ernest, Billy, Bobby, five sisters; Rosie, Della, Dora, Darlene, Lou, and twelve grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Seawright Funeral Home, Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 2:00 PM conducted by Rev. Tommy Turner. Military honors will be performed by The Rutherford County Honor Guard.
