Jonathan Allen Varner Culp, 34, of Hanover Place in Spartanburg, passed away Monday, August 7, 2023 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital.
Jonathan was born in Anderson on August 2, 1989, a son of Penny Varner Stone (Charles), of Inman, and Robert Culp (Chanin), of Aiken.
He was a 2007 graduate of Boiling Springs High School and graduated in 2011 from ECPI. He was a Certified Medical Technician, a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church, and was instrumental in starting the local chapter of M.U.T.C. (Man Up To Cancer). He was an avid fan of The University of Tennessee Volunteers and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Other survivors include his daughter; Analeigh Culp of Georgia, a sister; Caitlyn Horn of Inman, two brothers; Steven Burnett of Campobello, Derrick Bell of Spartanburg, paternal grandfather; Wayne Culp, maternal grandmother; Brooks Varner, and two nephews; Malachi Horn and Delan Burnett. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother; Sally Culp, maternal grandfather; John Varner, and maternal grandmother, Joyce V. Sailors.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 10th at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman with Rev. Scott Scrimpsher and Rev. Allen Goggins officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
