Hugh Francis "Johnny" Tallent, 74, of 2356 Pea Ridge Road, Mill Spring, NC, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at his home. Johnny was born in Cleveland County , NC on November 30, 1943, a son of the late Amos and Valree (Taylor) Tallent. He was the husband of Amy (Bagwell) Tallent. He retired from Go Grocery and was the former store manager of many other grocery stores and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Ashley Blackwell, of Columbus, NC; Morgan Champion (Michael), of Columbus, NC; three sons, Mitch Tallent (Jill), of Boiling Springs, SC; Blake Tallent (Michele), of Mill Spring, NC; Travis Blackwell (Erin), of Charlotte, NC; a sister, Dee Byers (Harry), of Greenville, SC; a brother, Wayne Tallent (Ann), of Mooresboro, NC, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 4 brothers, Paul, Joe, Jerry and Jesse Tallent. The family is at the home and will receive friends Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 10:00 — 11:00 AM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 22, 2018. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
