Johnny Roberts
John Fred Roberts, 62, formerly of Spartanburg, died Sunday, January 18th, 2009 at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center in Royston, Ga.
A native of Spartanburg, he was the son of the late John Fred and Wilsie (Place) Roberts and had worked in textiles. He was U.S. Navy Vietnam War Veteran and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Landreth of Travelers Rest, SC, Kristy Segars of Lavonia, Ga., two sisters, Jenita Pruitt of Portsmouth, N. H., Linda Burdette of Spartanburg and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Norma Jean Alverson.
Graveside services with Military Rites will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, SC, 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 with Paster Larry E. Padgett officiating. Family is at their respective homes.
