Greenville, SC--- Johnny Paul Lawson, Jr., 63, of Greenville passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at his residence. Born in Spartanburg, SC on June 28, 1953, he was a son of the late John Paul Lawson, Sr. and Ophelia (Taylor) Lawson and was the husband of Evelyn (Revels) Lawson having celebrated 31 together. Mr. Lawson worked for the SCDMV and was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Misty Satterfield of Greenville, SC; one step-daughter, Shannon Revels-Snow of Boiling Springs, SC; and seven grandchildren, Skyer Gilbert, Maddison Gilbert, Shelby Gilbert, Summer Gilbert, Tyler Satterfield, raised by Johnny Lawson, Daniel Wofford and Darren Turner.
A memorial service will be held in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2017 with Dr. Joe Geddes officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
