John Wesley Turner
Mr. John Wesley Turner, 94, of 295 East Pearl Street, Spartanburg, formerly of 210 Crescent Circle, Duncan, SC passed away Monday, July 6th, 2009 at White Oak Manor in Spartanburg.
Mr. Turner was born in Landrum, SC on February 7, 1915, the son of the late Samuel W and Ila Jane (Camp) Turner. He was the husband of Emma Ruth (Brannon) Turner who survives him.
In addition to his wife he is survived by l daughter: Elizabeth Irene Brown, 1 son: James Howard Turner, both of Duncan, 1 half-brother: Paul W Turner of Augusta, GA and 4 grandchildren.
He retired from Startex Mills and was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Greer, SC.
The family is at the home of his daughter, 107 Lyman Ave, Duncan and will receive friends Thursday 6:30 - 8:30 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 10th, with Rev. Gerald Turner officiating.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Greer, SC
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Interim Hospice, 775 Spartan Blvd., Suite 101, Spartanburg, SC 29301 or Spartanburg Regional Heart Center, 101 E Wood St., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
