John Stewart Tandy

John Stewart Tandy, 69, of 451 Nelson Road, Inman, SC, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center in Spartanburg, SC. 

John was born in Norwalk, Connecticut on May 17, 1953, a son of the late Jessie (Stewart) Tandy and David  Tandy.

He was the husband of Karen (Gorham) Tandy.

He was employed as a flavor chemist at Nestle Corp and later at McCormick Spice Co. John enjoyed wood turning and oil painting as his hobbies.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his in-laws, Kim Tandy of Georgia, Harry and Cathy Gorham of Maine, Pat and Jeff Hafkemeyer of Virginia, nephews, Jim S. Tandy (Francia) of Georgia, Matthew H. Gorham (Jen) of Connecticut, Brian R. Gorham (Jael) of Massachusetts, Jeffrey L. Hafkemeyer (Devina) of Alabama and their families, and a cousin, Nicola Moller of England. He was predeceased by a brother, Peter E. Tandy of Georgia and a sister, Jill A. Tandy of Connecticut.

No services are planned.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to cousins, Carol Yarrison and Joyce Gorham for all their help in these last days of John's life.
