John Thomas "Tom" Hicks, Sr
Inman
Mr. John Thomas "Tom" Hicks, Sr., 90, of 127 Pineview Drive passed away, Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Inman on September 3, 1919, he was the husband of the late Frances Geneva Owens Hicks and the son of the late R.D. and Sarah Elizabeth Golightly Hicks.
He retired from the Inman Telephone Company, which later became Alltel, and then most recently, Windstream and was a member of Inman United Methodist Church.
He is survived by two sons, John T. Hicks, Jr. and his wife Linda; Larry B. Hicks, one grandson, Trey Hicks and his wife Vicky, one granddaughter, Ashley Hicks, three great grandchildren, Simran Hicks, Thomas Hicks, and Wyatt Hicks, all of Inman.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Tuesday 10-11:OOAM at Seawright Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 11:OOam on Tuesday, August 24th, with Rev. Will Brown officiating.
