John Landrum Brady, 94, of 20 Canaday St,. Inman, SC, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg. John was born in Green Creek, NC on November 26, 1920, a son of the late John Henry and Preshus Mae (West) Brady. He was the husband of Pauline (Brown) Brady having celebrated 68 years of marriage. He was owner and operator of the Inman Laundry and John's Men Shop, manager of Stilwell Manor, former Inman Fire Chief, Inman Town Council member and was a 68 year dedicated member of Inman First Baptist Church where he served as deacon and RA leader, and was a charter member and ranger at the Village Greens Golf Club. He also served in the U.S. Navy in WW II. In addition to his wife John is survived by a daughter, Paula Brannon (Jimmy), of Inman; two sons Jimmy Brady (Marilyn), of Boiling Springs, SC; Jerry Brady (Janice), of Charlotte, NC, nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. The familiy is at the home and will receive friends Sunday 2:00 — 3:30 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the funeral chapel at 3:30 PM on Sunday, February 1st, with Dr Paul Moore officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
