Johann Edwards

Johann Caldwell Edwards, 70, died June 4, 2007, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, she was the wife of Horace F. Edwards Jr. and the daughter of Alta Brady Caldwell of Rosecrest and the late Rufus Ray Caldwell. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Education from Converse College and a Master of Education degree from the University of South Carolina. She was a member of Inman United Methodist Church of Inman, South Carolina. Mrs. Edwards taught elementary school in Spartanburg County District Five and was retired from Spartanburg County District One Schools.

In addition to her husband, also surviving are three children, Richard R. Edwards of Inman, South Carolina; John M. Edwards of Jacksonville, Florida; and Elizabeth E. Culler of Chattanooga, Tennessee, one sister, Norma C. Gaines of Inman, South Carolina; and three brothers, Donald F. Caldwell of Greenville, South Carolina; Ronald B. Caldwell of Campobello, South Carolina; and Jim D. Caldwell of Greer, South Carolina.

Funeral services will be held at 11 :00 AM on Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Inman United Methodist Church with the Reverend Ron Leonard officiating.

The family will be at the residence.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, South Carolina.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Inman United Methodist Church fellowship hall.
