Mr. Joe Jones, 69, of 1817 Sandy Ford Rd. died Saturday, August 6th, 2011 at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, SC. Mr. Jones was born near Amarillo, Texas on January 18, 1942, the son of the late Calvin H. and Zada Marie (Norman) Jones. He was the husband of Joyce Hutchins Jones. Mr. Jones was a member of Casey Creek Baptist Church and had retired from Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after 18+ years of service.
He is survived by a son, Jody Jones and his wife Lesley of Spartanburg, two daughters, Rhonda Dobson and her husband Lewis of Cowpens, Patricia Jones of the home, and a brother Leon Jones of Ohio. There are ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Jones and two sisters, Verna Lowe and Reba Cash.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Casey Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Gary Atkins. The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the sanctuary. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family is at the home.
