Barbara Joanne Belcher Mills, 77, of 560 Belcher Road, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Lake Emory Post Acute Care, Inman, South Carolina, after a brief battle with cancer. Joanne was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on September 29, 1938, a daughter of the late George and Thelma Barbare Belcher. She was the widow of George Mills. Mrs. Mills was a member of Motlow Creek Baptist Church, a retired seamstress and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mrs. Mills is survived by two daughters, Barbara Mills Lance and her husband Rick, Sheila Mills Powers and her husband Wally; three sisters, Patricia Newman and her husband Raymond, Brenda Spicer and her husband Lee, Deborah Blackwell and her husband Franklin; one brother, Larry Belcher and his wife Betty Jo; one brother-in-law, Gary Clayton all of Campobello, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Josh Lance and Jennifer Lance both of Greenville, South Carolina and Jessica Morris, Jonathan Brewer, Jason Mills and Tyler Powers all of Campobello, South Carolina.
In addition to her parents and husband, Joanne was predeceased by one sister, Judy Clayton.
Visitation will be held, Monday, June 27, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM at Motlow Creek Baptist Church. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, June 27, 2016, at Motlow Creek Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Terry Rainey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The families are at their respective homes.
