Joanne Hunter Kelly, 80, of 563 Gramling Mill Road, Inman, S.C., passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Joanne was born in Greenville County, S.C. on May 21, 1933, a daughter of the late Brady and Nellie Lavinia (King) Hunter. She was the widow of Lloyd Eugene Kelly having celebrated 45 years of marriage. She retired from St. Francis Hospital after 26 years of service and was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church. She faithfully served her Lord through music as organist, pianist and choir member for over 68 years. She also taught children's Sunday school classes for over 50 years. Joanne is survived by a daughter, Beth Neely (Barry), of Inman; a brother, Jerry T Hunter, of Easley, two grandchildren, Blake A. Neely and C. Brady Neely.
The family is at her home and will receive friends today, April 7, 2014 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Holston Creek Baptist Church, Inman, S.C., at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 with Dr. Reggie Parker, Rev. Ronnie Williams and Rev. Norman Neely officiating.
Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens in Piedmont, S.C. In addition to flowers memorials may be made to Holston Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 311 Holston Creek Church Rd, Inman, SC 29349.
