Jimmy Rogers

James B Rogers (Jimmy), 66 passed away December 11, 2013. He was the son of the late JB and Della Lyda Rogers. Jimmy grew up in the Holly Springs community where he continued to enjoy his family's original home place and where he was a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church. He also enjoyed delivering Mobile Meals in that area. Jimmy was the founder of Fatz Cafe, Copper River Grill, and Jjr's. He enjoyed the hospitality industry and was instrumental in helping develop other restaurants. He also partnered in the construction of apartments and housing subdivisions. Jimmy was a passionate Clemson football fan. He enjoyed tailgating with friends and family as well as traveling around the country to see the Tigers play. He had many friends and was the life of the group wherever he went. He had an unforgettable laugh that brought a smile to the people around him. He is survived by his wife, Joanne McMillin Rogers, daughters, Lynn Stevens and Paula Guest and her husband Jeffery, five Grandchildren, Christopher Guest and wife Ashtyn, Madison Guest, Dalton Guest, Taylor Stevens, Kendall Stevens, brother and sister in law, Bates and Gloria Harmon. He was predeceased by a sister Jeanie McAlhany. He had one niece and three nephews. Two special friends, Earnest Dillard and David "Hog" Rowland. "YAHOO!!" Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Holly Springs Baptist Church at 2:00 PM conducted by Rev Henry Stanford, Dr Tim Clark and Rev Jeff Davis. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will have a time of fellowship with friends in the church family life center immediately following the burial.
