Jessie Ruth Wilson of Spartanburg, SC went home to be with family and many friends in her Lord's House on March 27, 2017. Born in Inman on December 26, 1930, she was the 3rd daughter of the late Roxie (Pruitt) and William A. Wilson. Ruth was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church and a proud member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class. Ruth retired from Raycord Shirt Factory as a supervisor after 45 plus years of employment after the plant closed.

She is survived by two brothers, James "Buddy" Wilson and his wife Bertha of Spartanburg, SC and Michael Wilson and his wife Beki of Spartanburg, SC and one sister, Betty Smith of Inman, SC and one sister-in-law, Lois Wilson of Inman, SC. Ruth was the proud aunt of 20 nieces and nephews and even more great nieces and nephews as well as a godmother.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by one brother, Alton Wilson and two sisters, Evelyn Ridings and Hazel Strickland.

Ruth's family and friends believe if you were fortunate enough to know her, you were blessed by the experience. Ruth like her mother, was always more interested in helping and giving that being helped or receiving. She gave freely of her time and resources to her loved ones and people and animals in need.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rupert Guest and Rev. Frank Bryant officiating. Interment will be in Lake Bowen Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be, Timothy Hughes, Daniel Taylor, Adam Hammett, Dustin Hall, Brandon Loftis, Isaac Hammett, Derek Loftis, Jeremy Christie and Todd Fisher. Memorials donations may be made to: Beaumont Baptist Church "Bereavement Fund' or Lutheran Hospice or the Spartanburg Humane Society.

A special thanks to the staff of the Memory Care Unit at The Inverness (Park Place) and her caretakers with Lutheran Hospice. The family is at the home of her sister, Betty Smith, 424 Miller Farm Road, Inman, SC 29349. An online guest register is available at www.seawright-funeralhome.com
