Mrs. Jessie Mae Harmon Horton Foster, 88, of 128 Old Furnace Road, Boiling Springs passed away Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Foster was born in Union County, SC on May 7, 1921, the daughter of the late Wilford Howard and Bessie Mae (Mabry) Harmon. Mrs. Foster was married to the late Claude E Horton and the late Ralph Foster.
She is survived by 2 sons: Michael Horton and wife Martha of Spartanburg, Hugh Horton of Inman, 1 sister: Evelyn Edwards of Lyman, 1 stepson: Doug Foster and Jean of Inman, 3 stepdaughters: Brenda and Lamar West of Inman, Peggy and Johnny Strange of Boiling Springs, Lynn and Eddie Johnson of Inman, and a number of step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother: Wilford Howard Harmon, Jr.
She retired from Raycord after 28 years service and was a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church, Inman, SC.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Friday, June 26 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Lake Bowen Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Lake Bowen Baptist Church, with Rev. Mark Williams and Rev Ron Jackson officiating.
Burial will be in Lake Bowen Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mobile Meals, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
