Jessie Ruth Cothran

Inman, SC---Mrs. Jessie Ruth Cothran, 84, of 11 Clover St. went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 14, 2014. Born in Inman, S.C. on February 27, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Mr. Jess H. and Ellen Hayden (Wilson) Anderson and was the loving wife of Mr. William "Bill" J. Cothran, Sr. having celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Mrs. Cothran was a graduate of Spartanburg Nursing School "Class of 1950" and for 30 years she worked as a registered nurse. She was a member of Inman First Baptist Church and served in the Fidelis Matron's Sunday School Class.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Lisa Ruth Davis and her husband Wayne of Spartanburg, SC; two sons, William "Jack" J. Cothran, Jr. and his wife Donna (Stokes) of Roanoke, VA and Steven W. Cothran, of Seneca, SC along with two granddaughters, Molly and Maddie Cothran. She was predeceased by one sister, Marian A. Campbell.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 11:00AM at Inman First Baptist Church with Dr. Paul Moore officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service. Honorary escorts will be the Fidelis Matron's Sunday School Class and the Spartanburg Nursing School "Class of 1950". Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
