Jesse Julian Nichols, 76, beloved husband and father, of 305 Old Barn Road, Campobello, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at his home. Jesse was born in Spartanburg on May 13, 1939, a son of the late Texana Workman Nichols and Eddie Hayne Nichols and was the husband of Janet Cartee Nichols having celebrated 55 years of marriage. He was retired from Spartanburg County Roads and Bridges. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons; Joey Julian Nichols and James Eugene Nichols of Campobello, David Dewayne Nichols of Gowansville, two daughters; Donna Louise Nichols and Julie Ann Blackwell both of Campobello, two sisters; Ruth Barbery of Travelers Rest, Ethel Burgess of Inman, 8 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren. The family is at the home and will receive friends Thursday 2:00 until 3:00 at Seawright Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Seawright Funeral Home at 3:00 on Thursday, October 15th, with Rev. Joe Miller officiating. If anyone prefers to send flowers, live potted plants would be appreciated.
