Jerry Dean Whiteside, Sr.
Fairforest, SC---Mr. Jerry Dean Whiteside, Sr., 52, of 320 Old Blackstock Rd. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 14th, 2009.
Born in Spartanburg, he was the husband of Brenda Mathis Whiteside for over 15 years and the son of the late Marion Leigh Whiteside and Isabel (Wheeler) Johnson who survives him of Woodruff and his Step-father Bill Chesney.
He had retired from Clarkson Electric and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
He is also survived by one son, Jerry Dean Whiteside, Jr. of Spartanburg; one step-daughter Donna Sitton of Boiling Springs; two brothers, Terry Whiteside and Jimmy Whiteside both of Woodruff; one sister, Kim Stager of Cowpens; one grandson, Marcus Sitton of Chesnee, one great-grandson, Dustin James Sitton and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Thomas Ein Whiteside; one stepson, Timothy Eugene Bradley and one sister, Debra Burnette.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 17, 2009 from 1-2 PM at Trinity Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2PM in the church with Dr. Dennis Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Inman Cemetery.
