Mr. Jerry Allen Maxwell, 70, of 204 Fern Drive Inman, died Thursday September 15th, 2011 at Regional Hospice Home.
Mr. Maxwell was born in Inman on January 22,1941, the son of the late James and Louise Bishop Maxwell. He worked as a corrections officer at S.C. Department of Corrections and was a member of Inman Mills Baptist Church.
He served in the U.S. Air Force, was a member of Inman Masonic Lodge #201 and was a member of the Hejaz Shrine.
He is survived by two daughters, Sheryl Schwendeler and Gay Johnson, both of Inman, a brother, Jimmy Maxwell of Inman, and two grandsons, Justin Johnson and Benjamin Settle.
A memorial service will be held at Seawright Funeral Home at 6:00 on Monday, September 19th, with Rev. Donnan Lawson officiating. The family is at 1133 Southfield Street, Inman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills 130 Forest Glen Drive Columbus, NC 28722 or Hospice of Laurens County 1304 Springdale Drive, Clinton, SC 29325. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Holly Henson and Mac Gilstrap.
