Jerry Alan Boykin, Sr., 67, of 3937 Jordan Road, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Jerry was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on September 3, 1950, a son of the late Waddell Boykin and Edith George Boykin. Mr. Boykin was a retired employee with Hilton-Davis Chemical Company and B.U. Chemical Company. He was a member of Inman United Methodist Church.
Mr. Boykin is survived by his wife, Carol Johnson Boykin, of the home; a daughter, Addie B. Smart and her husband, Trevor, of Greer, South Carolina; a sister, Jan Turner and her husband, Daniel, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; grandchildren, Madison Boykin and her fiance', Dalton George; Bryson Boykin and his wife, Emily; and Caitlin Smart. In addition to his parents, Jerry was predeceased by a son, Jerry Alan Boykin, Jr. and a brother, Keith Boykin.
A visitation will be held 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, South Carolina. The families are at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gibbs Cancer Center, 101 E. Wood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
