Jean Cherry Woodfin
"Miss Jean" Woodfin, beloved wife, mother, and mawmaw, 220 Terrace Lane, Simpsonville, SC passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Smith Phayer Hospice House in Landrum surrounded by her family and friends. Jean was born in Percilla, Texas on January 13, 1940. She was the daughter of the late H.R. Cherry and Essie Mozelle (Chaffin) Cherry. She was the wife of Henry Woodfin and attended Holly Ridge Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Jean is survived by two daughters, Dawn Tolbert (Tom) of Inman and Sunni Carswell (Scott) of Ellenboro, NC, two step daughters, Rhonda Jackson (Mark) of Inman, Debra Watkins (Brian) of Boiling Springs. She adored her six grandchildren, Seth, Joshua, Ferrin, Taylor, Trey, and Brett. She was the last of eight children and predeceased by a step daughter, Lisa Smith. The family is at the home of her daughter, Dawn, 208 Treasure Trove Road, Inman, SC and will receive friends Monday, May 22, 2017 from 10:00 - 11:00 at Seawright Funeral Home, Inman, SC. The service will follow at 11:00 am at the Seawright Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Josh Colbertson. A cryptside service will be held Monday at 2:00 pm in Graceland East Memorial Park in Simpsonville.
