John Dupree "Jay" Campbell, 93, of 77 East Main Street Inman, passed away Saturday, March 12th, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Jay was born in Spartanburg on October 25, 1922, a son of the late Harriett Etta (Kelley) and John J. Campbell and was the widower of Marian Anderson Campbell. He was a WWII Air Force veteran.
He was the owner and operator of Campbell's Garage in Inman for many years and attended Inman First Baptist Church.
He is survived by a sister, Jackie Shehan of Inman, and a niece, Libby Goodwin (Roger) of Boiling Springs.
Funeral Services will be held at Seawright Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Monday, March 14th, with Dr. Paul Moore officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman.
In addition to flowers, memorials may also be made to Inman First Baptist Church Building Fund 14 N. Howard Street Inman, SC 29349.
