Janie Bruce Grout, 83, of 63 Blackstock Road, and formerly of Coggins Shore Road, passed away Wednesday, July 15th, at Magnolia Manor of Inman.
Janie was born in Greenville on September 19, 1931, a daughter of the late Ollie Mae (Jenkins) and John Earl Bruce and was the widow of Harry Grout. She had worked as a secretary at Rey's Jewelers and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A memorial service will be held at Seawright Funeral Home, at 5:00 PM on Friday, July 17th, with Rev. Matthew Bishop officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to New Prospect Baptist Church.
