Janice Marie Storey

Janice Marie Godfrey Storey, 59, of Rutherfordton, NC went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 12, 2017. Born in Fayetteville, NC at Ft. Bragg on February 4, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Martha Wall and Bernard Godfrey, Sr. and was the wife of the late Jerry Charles Storey. Janice was the co-owner of Martha's Drapery and also worked as a nurse on 5-West at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and was a member of Riverside Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Christine Storey Smith of Moore, SC and Angie Storey Thompson and her husband Kevin of Inman, SC; step-son, Lee Inman of Inman, SC; one sister, Rhonda Ridings and her husband Harry of Inman, SC; one brother, Benny Godfrey of Inman, SC; one nephew, Ben Godfrey; one niece Lexi McDowell and four grandchildren, Riley Tanguay, Emily Tanguay, Chandler Thompson and Johnathon Inman. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by one nephew, Micheal Wayne Ridings. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 2:00 — 2:45 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tommy Turner officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Godfrey, Tony Storey, Chris Godfrey, Steve Link, Jr, Terry Storey and Brian Tanguay.
