James Russell Williams, 90, of 118 Data Bush Drive, Inman, S.C., passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, S.C..
Mr Williams was born in Holly Springs, S.C. on April 12, 1923, a son of the late Jesse C. and Della (Littlefield) Williams. He was the widower of Louise Eubanks Williams, was self employed in auto sales for over 70 years and was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church.He was also a member of the Inman Masonic Lodge #201 for over 60 years. He is survived by a son, Dennis Williams, of Inman, four grandchildren, Dennis Russell Williams, II, James Drew Williams, Eric Williams, Matthew Williams and 9 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Gary Williams and a brother, J.C. Williams, Jr. The family is at the home and will receive friends today, April 8, 2014 from 10:00 — 11:00 AM at Holston Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow in the church sanctuary at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 8th, with Dr Reggie Parker and Rev Donnan Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
