Inman, SC---Mr. James Cecil West, 67, of 917 Hickory Hollow Road, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 22nd, 2010 after a brief illness.
Born in Spartanburg County on September 14, 1942, he was the husband of Linda (Cook) West and the son of the late Jessie J. and Mae (Nodine) West.
Mr. West was the owner/operator of the Cecil West Garage in Inman and was a member of the Inman First Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife Linda, he is survived by two daughters, Renee West Schuler of Inman, and Tina Campbell West of Inman; two sons, Terry N. Campbell of Landrum, and Marshall Donnie Campbell of Inman; one sister, Lucille Gosnell of Inman, and four brothers, Michael West of Campobello, Leon West of Spartanburg, Fred West of Spartanburg, and Willie West of Una, and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard West.
The family will receive friends today, Friday, July 23, 2010 from 6:30-8:30PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Inman First Freewill Baptist Church at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 24th, with Rev. Sean Fortner and Rev. Earl Hendrix officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman.
