James O. "Butch" Terry
Campobello, SC---Mr. James Olin "Butch" Terry, 66, passed away, Saturday, January 3rd, 2009 at his residence.
Born in Chester, SC, he was the husband of Lucile McDowell Terry and the son of the late Walter C. Terry and Janie Asilee (Roof) Dudek and stepson of the late Chester E. Dudek.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Calvin Smith and his wife Sherrie of New Prospect; one daughter, Loretta Johnson and her husband Cary of New Prospect; one sister, Mary Williams and her husband Eddie of Boiling Springs; 1 granddaughter: Kala Johnson and 2 step-grandchildren. One sister Meleese McAbee and one brother Charles Terry predeceased him.
He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church, retired from Flowers Bakery and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
The family will receive friends today, Sunday, January 4, 2009 from 5-7 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at New Prospect Baptist Church at 2 PM on Monday, January 5th, 2009 with Dr. Ron Gaddy officiating. Burial will follow in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mobile Meals, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304 or to the charity of one's choice. The family will be at the home.
