James Allen Taylor

James Allen Taylor, 91, of 3 Blackwell St. passed away peacefully Saturday, April 16th, 2016 at his home. Mr. Taylor was born in Ramseytown Township in Yancey County, NC on August 22, 1924, the son of the late James Washington and Cordelia Webb Taylor. James was the widower of Pauline Bayne Taylor and had retired from Inman Mills. He was a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church, American Legion Post #45, and was a WW II. Army Veteran.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Taylor and his wife Kathy, Kenneth A. Taylor and his wife Freida all of Inman, SC., two brothers, Rev. Eddie L. Taylor and his wife Ruby of Sanford, NC and J.T. Taylor and his wife Doris of Lexington, SC. There are three grandchlldren, Kenny Taylor, Jr., Robert Taylor and Stephanie Hanna and eight great-grandchildren. Mr Taylor was predeceased by three sisters, Valeree Tallent, Zola Wood and Gladys Lail.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, SC. The funeral services will be held Monday, April 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the funeral chapel conducted by Rev. Mark Williams. Burial will be in the Lake Bowen Baptist Church Cemetery.
