Campobello, SC---Mr. James Franklin Pernell, Jr, 64, of 120 Washington Drive Campobello died Monday, April 18th, 2011 in Spartanburg.
Mr. Pernell was born in Quincy, West Virginia on February 22, 1947, the son of the late James Franklin Sr and Mary Nichols Pernell. He was the husband of Norma Smith Pernell.
He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Marines Corps and was employed as director of sales and operation at Marlow Trucking Co.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Bret Pernell and wife Mitzi of Easley, grandchildren, Crystal and Shawn, and a great grandchild, Ava,
a daughter, Rita Marie Pernell of Dallas, Texas, sisters, Doris, Judy Faye, Bernice, Garnet all of West Virginia.
The family will receive friends Tuesday 5:00 until 7:00pm at Seawright Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery; Mountain Home, Tennessee at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 27th, with military honors.
The family is at his home.
