James Gordon "Jim" Patrick
Mr. James Gordon "Jim" Patrick, 65, of 110 Southport Road, Spartanburg passed away Wednesday, April 30th, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center
Mr. Patrick was born in Athens, Ga. on December 14, 1942, the son of the late John Henry and Edna (Gordon) Patrick.
He was the husband of Martha (Day) Patrick who survives him.
Other survivors include two sons: Michael Patrick of Spartanburg, Bill Patrick of Niceville, Florida, one sister: Patsy Pierce of Statham, Ga., one granddaughter: Lauren Patrick, three grandsons: Michael, Jon, and Will Patrick.
He worked as a constable in Spartanburg County, served in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, past member and former First Sergeant of the South Carolina State Guard, founder and past president of the Westside Booster Club for Youth Sports.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mark United Methodist Church, Spartanburg, at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 3rd, with Rev. Angelia Price and Rev. David Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens Athens, Ga. on Monday, May 5, 2008
The family is at the home and will receive friends Friday 6-8 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
