James Irvin "Red" Parris, Sr.

James Irvin "Red" Parris, Sr. 90, of Lyman, South Carolina passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Pelham Medical Center in Greer, South Carolina.
Born in Spartanburg County on April 28, 1929 he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kate H. Parris and was the husband of the late Mrs. Frances (Cudd) Parris.
Mr. Parris served in the United States Army during the Korean War, was a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church in Wellford, South Carolina and worked at Lyman Printing and Finishing for many years.
He is survived by one son, James Irvin Parris, Jr. and his wife Shirley of Wellford, South Carolina and one grandson, Charlie Finney and two great grandsons, Adam Finney and C.J. Finney all of Wellford, South Carolina.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by a daughter, Crystal Vaughn; two sons, Phillip Parris and Alvin Parris; one sister, Audrey Parris and one brother, Junior Parris.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 8, 2020 from 3:00-5:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 9, 2020 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, South Carolina conducted by Rev. Sean Fortner.
