Silent Key WD9EYB-James Patrick "Jim" Osburn, 61, of 2303 Hulman Street Terre Haute, IN, passed away Tuesday, November 26th, at 133 Englewood Dr., Inman, SC.
He was born in Terra Haute, Indiana on May 10, 1952, a son of the late Irene C. Murphy Osburn and Richard M. Osburn. He received his master's degree in electrical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and was a licensed electrical engineer. He had previously worked at Wireless Infield, Numerical Concepts, Applied Computing Devices, and most recently as a volunteer and employee at Ryves Youth Center. Survivors include two sisters; Deanna Ermson of Inman, Catherine "Katie" Templeton and husband Jerry of Green Valley, Arizona, one brother; Richard Osburn and wife Cheryl of Green Valley, Arizona, nieces; Dee Raffield-Joy, Robin Kent, Deborah Templeton, nephews; Robert Meyers, Tim Templeton, Matt Kent, great nieces, Charlee Joy, Lauren Kent; and his friend and mentor, Ted Brentlinger of Terra Haute, Indiana.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon January 4, 2014 at Rose-Hulman, White Chapel in Terra Haute, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ryves Youth Center 1356 Locust Street, Terre Haute, Indiana 47807.
