Mr. James Clinton Moore, 88, of 202 Water Oak Street, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 4th, 2010 at Smith Phayer Hospice House in Landrum.

Born in Inman on December 20, 1921, he was the widower of Mary McAbee Moore and the son of the late Weldon and Sonora Moore. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion and was a 33rd degree Mason with the New Prospect Lodge # 143. Mr. Moore was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church since 1946 and later joined Inman Mills Baptist Church. He worked at Lyman Printing and Finishing until his retirement in 1981.

Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Belue of Moore and Mary Ellen Jackson and her husband, Billy of Boiling Springs; and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Moore of Inman; six grandchildren, Becky Copleton and her husband, Paul; Betty Belue and friend Russell Farmer; Cindy McAbee and her husband, Barry; Susan Moore; Linda McAbee and her husband, Jason; and Bruce Jackson and special friend Christen Williams; and nine great-grandchildren, Matt, Monica, Tiffany and Mason Copleton, Ashley and Rusty Farmer, Hailey, Natalie and Grant McAbee. He is also survived by two sisters, Alsie Page and Faye Rook. In addition to his family, he is survived by a very dear friend, Sara Babb. He was predeceased by a son, James Ronald Moore; son-in-law, Arthur Belue, Jr.; a grandson, Andrew James Moore; and a great-granddaughter, Amber Copleton; and two sisters Evon Reece and Thelma Floyd; and one brother, Clyde Moore.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM. at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jack Hames officiating. Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, Boiling Springs, SC with Military Honors.

Pallbearers will be Brian Mathis, Doug Foster, Ernie Ramsey, Mike Page, Jerry Crow and Danny West.
