James Robert "Bob" McAbee, Jr.

James Robert "Bob" McAbee Jr. 73, of Campobello, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Greer, South Carolina on August 13, 1952, he was the son of the late James Robert "Bob" McAbee Sr. and Rosa (Farmer) McAbee.

Bob attended Walnut Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed working many years at Sawyer's Cabinet Shop. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor and his love for animals.

He is survived by his companion, Linda Franklin; six siblings, Linda Moody, Thomas McAbee, Judy Byrum, Michael McAbee, Amy McAbee and Sherry Waddell.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife, Cindy Wright McAbee, one son, Bobby Chad McAbee and one sister, Tammy McAbee.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
