James Harris Kimsey, 77, of 101 Hilldale Drive in Boiling Springs, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. Kimsey was born in Knoxville, TN on September 15, 1943, a son of the late Hilda Harris Kimsey and James Henry Kimsey.
He was the recent widower of Nancy Joyce "Joy" McCraw Kimsey and was first married to the late Sarah Elizabeth Francis Kimsey. He retired from O'Neal Construction as a project accountant and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Tryon, NC.
He is survived by two sons; Keith Kimsey and his wife Monica of Boiling Springs, Joshua Kimsey of Campobello, a daughter; Jill Kimsey of Campobello, two stepsons; Jeff Lackey and his wife Kim of New Orleans, LA, Cameron Lackey and his wife Sarah of Snowflake, AZ, a brother; Mike Kimsey and his wife Faye of Cowpens, SC, his grandchildren; Elizabeth Kimsey, Zachary Kimsey, Joshua Snow, step grandchildren; Madison Lackey, Josephine Lackey, Henry Lackey, great grandchildren; Zachriah Snow, Liam Horton, Koda Kimsey, and Auden Kimsey. He was also predeceased by two grandchildren, Jamie Barnette and Katie Barnette.
Visitation will be held 12:00 NOON until 12:50 PM on Saturday, September 11th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tryon, NC.
Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 11th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tryon with Rev. Thomas Olsen officiating. Burial will follow the services in Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, SC.
