James E. "Buck" Henderson

James Edward "Buck" Henderson, 83, formerly of 4th Street in Inman, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Buck was born in Inman, South Carolina on November 24, 1941, a son of the late Ada Mae McAbee Henderson and O.B. Henderson. He was the widower of Patricia Ann Peace Henderson.

He retired from textiles after working at Inman Mills and Mayfair Mills.

He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and was the former Fire Chief of Inman Mills Fire Department.

He is survived by a son, Terry Henderson and his wife, Traci, of Boiling Springs, a granddaughter, Leanna B. Patrick, and three brothers: Charles Henderson, Lewis Henderson, and Jimmy Henderson. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by a daughter, Mindy Lou Henderson.

A Memorial Service will be held 7:00 PM on Monday, August 25th at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Inman with Rev Joe Blackwelder,  Rev. David Ervin and Rev. Mitch Edge officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:30PM until 7:00PM.

Burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens was private.
