James Robert "Bob" Golightly

James Robert "Bob" Golightly, Jr., 75, of 33 S. Howard St. , passed away Wednesday, January 7th. 2015, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after several years of declining health.
Mr. Golightly was born in Spartanburg County near Woodruff, SC on February 18, 1939 and was a son of the late James Robert Golightly, Sr. and Grace Eliza (Hines) Golightly. He was a longtime member of Inman United Methodist Church and was a retired gunsmith. He enjoyed his time as a corrections officer for Spartanburg County and served his country in the US Navy. Bob had a great love for animals and especially enjoyed his many cats.
Survivors include a sister, Jane Golightly Bottsford and her husband Dr. John Bottsford of Spartanburg, SC, two nieces, Janna Leigh Bottsford , Carissa Hood-Pope and her husband Jay of Central, SC, two nephews, John E. Bottsford, III, James Bradley Bottsford and a sister-in-law, Carol M. Golightly of Clemson. He was predeceased by a brother, Clarence Brent Golightly.
No memorial services are planned at this time. Interment will be private at Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery in Inman, SC. The family will be at their respective homes.
