James Ray "Jim" Dukeman, 67, of 318 Fain Drive died Wednesday, April 28 at his home. He was a son of the late Sam P. and Tommy Jean Andrews Dukeman. He was a native of Bethany, Illinois and was the owner/operator of Lemon Bay Electric for thirty years. He was a life member of Bethany Masonic Lodge # 884 and was a Viet Nam veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was also a volunteer for the Second Presbyterian Soup Kitchen in Spartanburg.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Fowler Dukeman, five daughters, Tomma Rolfe of Florida, Dusty Carpenter of North Carolina, Melinda Alexander of Florida, Ann Brobst of Florida, Rhonda Lego of South Carolina, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 4:00pm at Seawright Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 3:00 until 4:00 at the funeral home prior to the service. The family will have a second memorial service in Florida, the date and time will be announced.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Regional Hospice, 120 Heywood Ave., Spartanburg, S.C. 29303 or to Second Presbyterian Soup Kitchen, 438 N. Church Street, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.
