James Cleveland Culbreth, 89, of 120 Overdale Road, passed away Monday, May 23rd, 2016 at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, S.C. Mr. Culbreth was born in Spartanburg County on January 5, 1927, a son of the late Grover Cleveland and Mollie Waldrop Culbreth. He was the widower of Faye (Weaver) Culbreth and had been a member of Sandy Plains ARP Church for over sixty years. Mr. Culbreth had retired as a terminal manager for Hess Oil Company and served in the U.S. Army in WW II.
He is survived by a daughter, Diann Montana and her husband Ron of Inman, SC and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 27, 2016 in the sanctuary of Sandy Plains ARP Church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM . Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM conducted by Rev. James Mitchell.
