James William Cantrell

February 15, 1934 — September 13, 2011

Chesnee, SC--Mr. James William Cantrell, 77, of 727 Mahaffey Cooley Road and also a previous resident of Jacksonville, FL having lived there for 37 years passed away on Tuesday, September 13th, 2011 at his residence.

Born in Chesnee, SC on February 15, 1934, he was the son of the late Willie and Ruth (Willis) Cantrell and was the loving husband of Carolyn L. Cantrell having celebrated 56 years of marriage. He was the most hard working and loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Cantrell retired from Anheuser-Bush in Jacksonville, FL after 28 years of dedicated service and was of the Baptist faith and was a 32 Degree Mason.

In addition to his wife he is survived by five sons, James D. Cantrell and his wife Sherry of Spartan burg, Ronnie W. Cantrell and his wife Kathy of Cowpens, Donald K. Cantrell of Mayo, Timothy Cantrell and his wife Brenda of Asheville and Tony Cantrell and his wife Charlotte of Chesnee; six grandchildren, Angela, John, Kenneth, Katrina, Ronnie and Christopher and three great grandchildren, Lydia, Bailey and Kara and a host of other grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 16, 2011 from 6-8PM at Seawright Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartan burg at 2:00PM on Saturday, September 17th with Rev. Joe Geddes officiating. The family is at the home. An online guest register is available at www.seawright-funeralhome.com.
