James Thomas Ballard, Sr
James Thomas Ballard, Sr, 78, of 2654 Fairforest C1eveda1e Road, Spartanburg, SC, passed away Friday, March 9th, at his residence.
James was born in Syracuse, NY on December 26, 1933, a son of the late Ada Pearl (Dingman) and Leon Ballard and was the husband of Betty (McKillop) Ballard who survives him.
He retired from White Aluminum in Leesburg, FL and served in the U.S. Air Force.
James is survived by
a daughter, Roxanne Ballard, of Syracuse, NY; two sons James Ballard, Jr, of Spartanburg; Christopher Ballard, of Spartanburg; two brothers, Jerry Ballard and Dickie Ballard, both of Syracuse, NY, 20 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren
The family is at the home and will receive friends Thursday 6:00 - 7:00 PM at Glendale Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at Glendale Baptist Church, Spartanburg, SC at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 15th.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's AA, 349 East St. John's St. Spartanburg, SC or American Heart Association, 364 S. Pine St., Suite B 155, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
