James Ervin Adams, 73, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on September 26, 1949, a son of the late Julia (Byers) Adams and Bernard Thomas Adams and was the loving husband of Debra (Fowler) Adams having celebrated 47 years of marriage.
James served two tours in Vietnam while serving in the United States Army, worked as a truck driver for many years and was a member of New Beginning United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by two daughters, Summer Adams Campbell and her husband Pete and Tammy Edwards; two grandchildren, Alyssa Campbell and Landon Campbell; one great grandchild, Declan Campbell; mother-in-law, Rachel Cleo Shipman; one nephew, Donnie Hyder; two nieces, Tina Hyder Gilreath and Vada Jones; two brothers-in-law, Mark Fowler and Andy Fowler and one sister-in-law, Beth Grigg.
He was predeceased by one sister, Brenda Page and one sister-in-law, Tina Abernathy.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at New Beginnings United Methodist Church, 210 Rainbow Lake Road, Boiling Springs, South Carolina 29316. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the church conducted by Mr. Randy McGuinn. Burial will be Good Shepherd Memorial Park with Military Honors provided by Boiling Springs Post 200.
