Jackie Andrew Tessneer

Jackie Andrew Tessneer, 78, of Landrum, SC, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at his home. Jackie was born in Landrum, SC on March 10, 1948, a son of the late Dorothy Marie (Hutcherson) and John Brown Tessneer, Sr. He was the husband of Lois (Corson) Tessneer. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by, a son, Brad Kinney and his wife Brooke; a sister, Pat Cothran and her husband Doug; a brother-in-law Ray Halford; a grandson, Gabriel Barnette and his wife Derian; a great granddaughter, Caroline Barnette; a son-in-law Joe Barnette; two special nephews, Brian and Justin Wensell and his special family, Mike and Elaine Horton and their children, Erik and Autumn. He was predeceased by a daughter Alicia Barnette; three brothers, Bobby, Brown Jr., and Lloyd Tessneer; four sisters, Margaret, Peggy and Golden Brenda Tessneer and Omye Halford. His family was his pride and joy. His favorite hobby was his yard and garden.

He worked as a maintenance mechanic at Landrum Mills for 33 years, and at S.C. Elastic Shamrock Plant for 3 years.
