Mr. Jack L Wright, 72, of 531 Autumn Chase Court, Inman went home to be with the Lord Monday, May 19th, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC.
Mr. Wright was born in Southport, Indiana on October 30, 1935, the son of the late Orville and Freda (Firth) Wright.
Jack is survived by his wife of 50 years Glada B. Wright, two sons: Jack A. Wright and wife Vickie of Warsaw, Indiana, Jerry Wright and wife Melanie of Charlotte, NC, one brother: Kenneth Wright of Cape Coral, FL., one sister: Doreen St Clair of Morgantown, Indiana, 6 grandchildren and 5 great, grandchildren. Jack was loved by all he came in contact with through his laughter, music, and excellent attitude. His love for Gospel bluegrass music was his witness to all as he played for many and spread the Word.
He retired from Motorola, was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, Boiling Springs Masonic Lodge # 413 for 40 years and served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War.
A celebration of life service will be held at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church at 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 22nd, with Rev. Hank Williams officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gibbs Cancer Center 380 Serpentine Dr. Spartanburg, SC 29303 or the Choir Fund of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, 3600 Boiling Springs Rd, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
