Jack Hampton Ramsey, Jr., 63, of 220 Johnson Ave., passed away Friday, October 7th, 2016 at the Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, SC. Jack was born in Spartanburg, SC on March 12, 1953, a son of the late Jack Hampton Ramsey, Sr and Dorothy Ann Cothran Ramsey. He was a longtime member of Inman Mills Baptist Church and was a former Director for the Sunday School Dept. He was a 1971 graduate of Chapman High School and had worked for One Price Clothing Company.
Survivors include a son, Grey H. Ramsey of Inman, SC, a daughter, Brantley Whittemore (Bryan) also of Inman, sister, Cyndy McAbee (Steve) of Travelers Rest, SC, three grandchildren, Savannah, Eli and Tinsley Whittemore.
The family will receive friends this Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 10, 2016 at Inman Mills Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jack Hames. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC. The family will be at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jack H. Ramsey Memorial Fund, PO Box 192, Inman, SC 29349.
